How InterviewFlow mock interviews work

  1. Add your context. Select your resume, experience level and interview focus.
  2. Answer under realistic conditions. Speak or type your response without reading a generated script.
  3. Review evidence-based feedback. See what was relevant, what lacked proof and where structure became unclear.
  4. Repeat the weak part. Practise the same skill with a more concise, measurable answer.
  5. Review the report. Use round scores and recurring weak topics to plan the next session.

What a useful interview answer score should measure

SignalWhat it meansHow to improve it
RelevanceThe answer addresses the question and target roleLead with the direct answer before adding context
EvidenceClaims are supported by a real example or resultName your contribution, constraint and verifiable outcome
StructureThe interviewer can follow the reasoningUse STAR for stories or problem–decision–trade-off–result for technical work
ClarityThe answer is specific and understandableRemove filler, define technical terms and shorten side stories

Example: make a technical answer more convincing

Question: “Tell me about an API performance problem you solved.”

Weak approach: “The endpoint was slow, so I optimized the database and it became faster.”

Stronger structure: State the measured latency and traffic, explain how profiling identified the bottleneck, describe the query/index or caching decision, mention the trade-off, and finish with the measured result.

Never invent metrics. If you did not record a number, describe the observable result honestly and explain how you would measure it next time.

Who this practice is designed for

Freshers can rehearse projects, fundamentals and concise behavioural examples. Experienced candidates can focus on architecture decisions, trade-offs, leadership and measurable impact. Non-IT candidates can choose role and behavioural rounds without forcing technical questions into the session.

InterviewFlow is preparation software. It should be used before an interview—not to generate hidden answers during a live employer interview.

Frequently asked questions

How does an AI mock interview work?

Choose a stored resume and interview focus. InterviewFlow generates role-relevant questions, accepts voice or text answers and provides scored feedback before moving through the interview rounds.

Which interview types can I practise?

You can focus on technical, system-design, behavioural, HR, non-IT or combined interview rounds depending on your target role and experience.

Are the questions based on my resume?

When you select a stored resume, the interview uses its detected skills and role context to make questions more relevant. You should still verify and correct any inferred context.

Can an AI mock interview predict selection?

No. It is deliberate-practice software, not a hiring predictor. Use feedback to improve clarity and evidence, then combine it with real company research and human practice.
